Town and Country

Edgar Miller
1934
Tempera grassa
L 60, W 72 cm

While Miller was mostly known as a wizard interior and graphic designer, his repertoire extended to many more mediums and it should come as no surprise that he was a fine painter, too. This painting depicts a scene of industry, shipping, and neighboring countryside. It was exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1934.
